Grants

We provide grants for innovative ideas in the classroom and on campus. Our Classroom Grants aim to empower teachers with the resources they need to bring innovative ideas to life and address the unique needs of their students. By investing in classroom enhancements, we’re not just funding projects, we’re fostering creativity, curiosity, and academic excellence.

What We Fund

Our Classroom Grants provide financial support for a wide range of educational projects, including:

  • Technology Integration: Upgrading classroom technology with interactive whiteboards, tablets, or other digital tools.
  • Hands-On Learning: Supplies for STEM projects, art supplies, or materials for science experiments.
  • Enhanced Learning Environments: Creating flexible learning spaces, improving classroom aesthetics, or building cozy reading nooks.
  • Professional Development: Workshops or courses that help teachers enhance their skills and stay current with educational trends.
  • Student Enrichment: Funds for extracurricular activities, field trips, or special guest speakers that enrich the learning experience.

How It Works

Teachers from pre-K to high school can apply for Classroom Grants through our straightforward application process. We evaluate proposals based on their potential impact on student learning, creativity, and feasibility. Successful applicants receive grants up to $5,000, depending on the scope and scale of their project.

Success Stories

To date, the Greenwood Education Foundation has invested over $28,000 in classroom grants. These grants ranged from play centers for kindergarten classrooms, to a large-format printer for the technology classes, to robots for the elementary and intermediate STEM labs. We are proud to be able to use these grants to enhance educational opportunities for Greenwood ISD students.
